For Pride Month this June, Evolv pays tribute to the hard-won struggle for equality by the LGBTQ community. Great strides have been made towards creating a more equitable society in recent years. Yet we recognize that it requires an ongoing effort by each individual to respect and accept one another without prejudice, if everyone is to truly feel accepted and included in society.
Barbara Gittings, an American activist who is best known for taking on the US Government to fight for employment rights for the LGBTQ community, sums it up beautifully when she says:
“Equality means more than passing laws. The struggle is really won in the hearts and minds of the community, where it really counts.”
At Evolv we stand with the LGBTQ community in celebrating diversity and are committed to creating equal opportunities for all, regardless of identity or background. We recognize the immense value in bringing together people with different perspectives and experiences. We are working everyday to create an environment where people have the confidence to express their thoughts, ideas and individuality. We believe it fosters learning, understanding, and empathy which in turn enriches our lives, both as individuals and as a company.
